  • Serious injury, death, and/or property damage may occur if caution is not exercised with using a fire pit.  Use at your own risk.
  • Carbon monoxide will be created when burning which could cause asphyxiation and death.  Never use a fire pit in an enclosed area that can trap carbon monoxide gas such as inside buildings, garages, balconies, under overhangs, or any other non-properly ventilated area.  Avoid breathing smoke from fires and avoid getting smoke into your eyes as it is hazardous to your health.
  • Fires can release sparks and embers which can ignite flammable item such as trees, shrubs, roofs, decks, etc.  Beware that wind can carry sparks and embers a considerable distance.  Be sure to keep flammable items away from your fire pit including gasoline or other flammable fuels, compressed gases, flammable liquids and vapors, etc.
  • Fire pits must be installed and used in accordance with local codes, ordinances, laws, etc. including any burn bans in your area.  Contact your local fire department for local requirements.
  • Fire pits are for outdoor use only and should only be used in well ventilated areas with a large sand, gravel, or other non-flammable perimeter.  They should be located away from homes, structures, vehicles, fuel storage tanks, combustible items, etc. They should never be used next to trees or shrubs or anything flammable.
  • Never leave a burning fire unattended, especially around children and pets. Ensure the fire is fully extinguished prior to leaving.
  • Never allow children and pets near a fire without supervision.  Keep children away from smoke and keep them from falling into the fire pit.
  • Alcohol, prescription and non prescription medications, marijuana and illegal drugs may impair one’s ability to use a fire pit safety.
  • Fire pits are hot and should never be touched wile fire is burning.  Perimeter rings, handles, and legs will get hot and should never be used to move the fire pit with an active fire.
  • When storing or moving the fire pit, wait until the fire has completely extinguished and the fire pit has cooled.  Empty and dispose of the ashes/coals.
  • It is recommended that you burn dry, seasoned hardwood as it will burn hotter, more completely and create less smoke.  Softwoods such as cedar and pine will throw more sparks.  Plywood, painted/stained, or pressure treated woods should not be burned in the fire pit.
  • Do not alter the fire pit in any manner.  Fire pit should not be used until fully assembled, level and properly supported.
  • Do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, lighter fluid, or alcohol to light to relight fires.
  • Do not overload the pit.
